Therapy in New York City, NY

Life in New York City can be exciting, fast-paced, and full of possibility, but it can also feel overwhelming. Between work, school, relationships, family expectations, and the pressure to keep moving, it’s easy to feel stressed, stuck, or like you’re constantly trying to keep up.

The Curious Cat Therapy offers telehealth therapy to individuals in New York City and throughout New York State, providing a warm, supportive space to slow down and get curious about what’s really going on. Therapy can be a place to better understand your experiences, explore the patterns that may be affecting your relationships or well-being, and work toward meaningful, realistic change.

At The Curious Cat Therapy, therapy doesn’t have to feel stiff or intimidating. Sessions are conversational, down-to-earth, and grounded in curiosity—with a little humor when it helps. Together, we’ll explore what you’ve experienced, understand how it may be shaping you today, and find ways to move forward that feel authentic to you.

Hi I’m Adriana, Owner of The Curious Cat Therapy

  • I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and the owner of The Curious Cat Therapy, with over 12 years of experience supporting children, teens, and adults.

  • My approach is warm, authentic, and down-to-earth. I use curiosity, gentle challenge, creativity, and a little humor to make therapy feel comfortable while still creating meaningful change.

  • I support clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, family stress, self-esteem, and life transitions, helping them recognize their strengths and build practical tools they can use in everyday life.

  • I especially love working with teens and parents. I believe in meeting young people where they are and creating a space where they can be themselves, while supporting parents in building confidence and self-compassion.

  • Outside of therapy, I’m a proud New Englander who recently moved to Tampa. I love Pilates, Disney parks, nostalgia, and spending time with my cats, Meeko and Roadie—the curious cats behind the name of my practice.
