Therapy for Young Adults

A neon sign with the words 'We’re open' in pink, mounted on a lush green wall of various plants and leaves.

Being a young adult can feel like a lot. You’re figuring out who you are, making big decisions, navigating relationships, and trying to build a life that actually feels like your own. It’s exciting, but it can also feel confusing, overwhelming, or downright exhausting. At The Curious Cat Therapy, we believe you don’t have to have everything figured out—and therapy can be a place to slow down, get curious, and make sense of where you’re headed.

Are you finding yourself…

Therapy for depression

At The Curious Cat Therapy, we take a warm, curious, and down-to-earth approach to working with young adults. Therapy can be a space where you don’t have to pretend you have it all together. We’ll explore what matters to you, what may be getting in your way, and how past experiences may be shaping the choices you make today. Together, we’ll work on building confidence, setting boundaries, managing stress, and creating a life that feels more aligned with who you are—not just what you think you should be doing.

Meet Adriana

Adriana Lara, LMHC owner of The Curious Case Therapy
Hello!

Hello! My name is Adriana Lara and I am the owner of The Curious Cat Therapy, offering counseling services for individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor based in Tampa and provide virtual therapy in Florida, New York, and Massachusetts.

I work with  folks who are feeling stuck and can’t seem to get out of their own way. I meet people where they are, helping to sit with the feelings to be able to let go of the hurt, pain, or frustration. My approach is warm, I will challenge you, while using a dash of silliness and humor.

At The Curious Cat Therapy we lean into curiosity to explore what has led you here. As a therapist, I try not to take life too seriously. I believe humor can help ease tension, create connection, and make it a little easier to talk about the hard stuff. I’ll help you recognize your strengths, challenge unhelpful patterns, and build tools you can actually use in everyday life.
